RIVEREDGE NATURAL PLAYGROUND!
Phase I of construction has already started, so come take a look! Some playground elements of Phase II include the Silo Cavern; Snake Hibernaculum; Sand, Soil and Water Play Area; Tamarack Canopy Platform; Hill and Burrow; Mint and Fern Gardens; Vernal Pond, Frog Pool and Stream; Parent Patio and Deck; Toddler Prairie House: Native Plant Labyrinth; Library Tree House; Farm Pond Ferry; and Serpent Trail. The area is designed to encourage children to use their imaginations, to stimulate their senses and to nurture their curiosity. The child in all of us will find this place irresistible!
The Riveredge Natural Playground is an area for children of all ages to explore and experience nature in a hands-on, open-ended way. Riveredge is applying its expertise and using its natural setting to provide opportunities for kids to learn about the wonder of nature’s complexity in a safe but adventurous place that will lead to a fuller appreciation of the beauty of our world.
